Desktop applications, more simply known as apps, are programs independent from the browser that specialize in a particular function. Standart UI windows application
This is the most popular application in the world. This application have UI (user interface) like MS Word, Internet Explorer, Adobe Photoshop. It is possible to run it in one pc or in a client-server implementation. It can support any database for store data.
Console windows application
This application have very simple user interface (Like Command Prompt app inside windows). Most part of this application are used for make some service action or when application doesn’t need much action from user. But simple interface is not a limit for function because it is also possible to implement any program-logic as in standard windows UI app.
Windows-service application
Has no user interface, it launches immediately after Windows is started, and continues to run until it closes on its own or is forced to close by Task Manager. It is used in the situation where it doesn’t need user action, and there is no need in user login to system (as this application can run when windows start) also this app not have limits for program-logic.
